Hi, Everyone:
Here's the presentation schedule as promised. The order was determined randomly; my daughter picked your names out of a hat. If you don't like your time slot, you can try to trade with someone else. Just let me know if you do this. Also, I expect each of you to be here for your classmates' presentations. Don't assume that because you're not presenting on one day that you can skip that class.
It was brought to my attention last night that there are no length specifications regarding the paper in the syllabus. So, here they are now: your papers should be 7-10 pages in length (not including the bibliography), citing at least 7-10 sources.
If you are doing a podcast or video piece, your submission should be 3-5 minutes in length, accompanied by a 3-5 page summary providing background on your topic and your methodology/experience in creating the podcast/video. This should also include an additional bibliography citing at least 7-10 sources.
If you guys have questions as you're going along, please let me know! Additionally, if you want help with your writing in terms of editing or proofreading before turning the final paper in on December 5th, check out the Writing Center via the UW English department: http://depts.washington.edu/wcenter/
I will be grading more strictly on grammar, flow, and structure for this final project than I did on your journal entries.
Have a good Thanksgiving! I'll post pictures of our workshop soon....
